What's going on?:

Shipping/Payment Icons: 

You probably noticed the new shipping and online payment icons.  The obvious goal of these icons is to make the buyer process more convenient and to relay information in a quick visual way.  Our next step in this process is to add a filter to the site search to allow buyers to search on shipping availability.   Once complete, we will be including better post-auction processes to facilitate shipping requests from buyers to affiliates.  More to come on this soon!  

Important:   Make sure you are indicating shipping availability on each item.  This can be done on the lot list or edit item page.   

Auction Filter: 

Due to a request, we've added the 10 mile radius to the "Auction Search Filter."

Construction is humming along and we are hoping to move in May! 

Ride into Summer Event:  

You are invited to participate in our annual Ride into Summer Event scheduled for May 7th thru May 21st.  This event is designed to help affiliates recruit Summer Toys to sell, such as ATV’s, Campers, UTV’s, Golf Carts, Boats, Motorcycles and other motorized ‘Toys’.  

We will be promoting this event through the last Summer Toy auction that closes on May 21st 

Get the word out!  Talk to your consignors! Recruit new consignors! We need sellers who are serious about selling these items. Let everyone know if they’ve been thinking about selling, there’s never going to be a better time to do it.   

This does not prevent you from scheduling or closing other auctions during this week! However, auctions that fit the assets described above will be receiving extra promotion courtesy of K-BID.  

We will be driving potential consignors to this landing page that explains the process for selling with affiliates.  We will forward leads to affiliates based on their location.

AI is taking over!

AI has become a huge topic and is going to change our world (it can be argued if that's good or bad). If you're looking for ways that it could be helpful in the auction industry, check out what I was able to create in 30 seconds this morning using Chat GPT:

AI is another tool that will become increasingly prevalent in our business and personal lives.  I'd suggest trying it out and start thinking of menial tasks that you could possibly offload in the future.  For me, personally, I've found great benefit in the following areas:

• Writing sales emails
• Writing and creating blog content 
• Researching specific auction items 
• Finishing half-written content
