New Features, Policy Updates, and What’s Coming This Spring

We have several important and exciting updates across the K-BID platform.

K-LOT Updates

Improved cropping and rotation tools - coming soon
These tools are designed to make mobile cataloging faster and cleaner, especially for high-volume workflows.

Biometric login support - available now
Affiliates can now use Face ID or fingerprint login where supported. This should reduce friction and speed up daily access to K-LOT.

These improvements are part of our continued focus on tightening workflow and making mobile listing more efficient.

Policy Updates

Use of AI in auction descriptions and images
Affiliates remain fully responsible for accuracy, disclosures, condition statements, and compliance. AI can be used as a tool, but it does not replace your judgment or obligation to properly represent items. Read full policy here.

Selling food items on K-BID
Out-of-date food items must clearly include the expiration date in the description. Transparency is critical. If it is expired, it must be stated plainly.  Read full policy here.  

Please review these policies carefully. They are in place to protect buyers, protect you, and maintain marketplace integrity.

New Bidder Features

Outbid SMS Notifications
Bidders can now opt in to receive outbid notifications by text message directly from their account page. These follow the same rules as email notifications and stop once the auction begins closing.

We believe this will be a significant engagement driver. Faster notifications mean more active bidding during live periods, which should positively impact final sale prices on competitive lots.

Lot Alerts - Now Live
Bidders can now create custom searches and receive daily email alerts when new matching inventory is posted.

They can:

• Create up to 10 saved searches
• Build alerts based on keywords, categories, location, price range, and more
• Receive one daily email if new matching inventory is listed

This is a meaningful addition that should:

• Increase repeat traffic
• Encourage earlier bidding activity
• Better match niche buyers with your inventory
