Selling firearms requires a Federal Firearms License. While federal and state regulations allow the sale of guns without an FFL in certain circumstances, K-BID does not recognize these exceptions. Any gun sold on K-BID must be sold through a licensed firearms dealer (FFL). It is the responsibility of the affiliate to make sure the FFL they are using for their gun sales has an active Federal Firearms License. The FFL dealer must be identified by name and license number in the terms and conditions of the auction that contains the consigned firearms.
K-BID has a class 1 FFL and will act as dealer for an affiliate. The affiliate will act as agent for K-BID and must transport the guns to K-BID’s Maple Plain office. Alternatively, the affiliate can refer the seller to K-BID in which case K-BID will charge the seller a 15% commission. This commission will be split with the affiliate provided the affiliate sends an email with the seller’s name to Ray.Caruso@K-BIDmail.com PRIOR to the sellers arrival in our office. In the event a seller insists on a reserve, they will require a NICS on themselves in order to retrieve the firearm. The $25.00 NICS/Transfer fee will not be waived. The same is true if K-BID is only acting as FFL. We cannot give the firearm to the affiliate to give to the seller. The seller MUST report to our Maple Plain office and pass a NICS in order to retrieve the firearm(s). The NICS/Transfer fee will not be waived.
Any questions on the firearms policy should be directed to K-BID.
