Editing Auction Lots - Removing Items from Auction

Image or Description Adjustments 

Auctions should be proofread and edited prior to publishing to Active status in K-BID software.  However, there will undoubtedly be an instance when you will have to adjust a description or add a picture to an item.   Descriptions and images can be edited within K-BID software and changes will go live within an hour.  The process for making an edit to a picture or a description is the same as for auction creation.  The lot and picture adjustments are not allowed within 6 hours of the close of the auction (Impending  Close Status).  

If there is a fundamental change to a description that could possibly lower the value or bidder's perception of an item, please contact K-BID to determine how to proceed.  

Example:

If a refrigerator has bid up to $500.00 and it is discovered that the freezer is no longer working and this information is not disclosed in the description.  

In this example, we would most likely halt the item and re-list it at a later date with an accurate description.

Removing/Deleting an Item 

Removing items from an active auction on K-BID should be a last resort and consignors should be informed that items can not be removed once the auction has gone live.  If removing an item from the auction is the only option (Item stolen or missing, undisclosed damage), you must contact K-BID ([e-mail] or by using the support button in the AKB) in order to properly remove the item.  Please include: 

• Affiliate Name 
• Auction Name/ID 
• Lot Number 
• Reason for removal

The item will be halted and the description updated to notify bidders why the item was removed.

Auction Adjustments 

Adjustments to auction details can be up made until 6 hours before the close of an auction (Impending Close Status).  Editable auction information includes:

• Notes
• Terms
• Shipping
• Address
• Inspection and Removal Dates  
• Phone Number 
• Auction Description
