Pre Posting Checklist

Pre-Auction Checklist 

Prior to publishing an auction to a live status, use this checklist to verify that you have met all the requirements and the auction is formatted correctly:  

• Contract/Consignment Agreement Signed 
  • Reserve items and amounts have been agreed to in writing.  
  • Owner understands they are prohibited from bidding on their own assets.  
  • Owner understands consigned items cannot be for sale or be sold when it is listed on an active K-BID auction.
    
    
• Reserves 
  • Reserves have been correctly imported or programmed into K-BID Software. (Programming Reserves) 
    
    
• Auction Details 
  
  • Sales tax rate has been verified. (Sales Taxes)
  • Auction scheduled at an appropriate closing rate. (15-25 minutes)  
  • Automate Invoices box is checked.  
  • Auction address and mapping is correct.  
  • Closing, Removal and Inspection dates are accurate.  
  • Contact Information is correct. 
  • Assets are legal to sell and not prohibited by K-BID.  (Assets Restricted/Illegal to Sell) 
    
    
• Picture Details 
  
  • Pictures have been uploaded correctly and match up with descriptions. 
  • (5) Highlighted lots have been selected.  
    
    
• Description Details
  • Lot titles, categories and descriptions are formatted correctly. (Titles/Categories)
  • Check for spelling errors.  

If Firearms are Included on the Auction:   

• FFL License Number included in the terms and K-BID has received a copy.

   

If Titled/Registered Assets Included (K-BID NOT acting as DOR):

•  Required information included in descriptions for titled/registered items.  (More Examples) 

Vehicles - Cars/Trucks/Motorcycles

    • Make 
    • Model
    • Indicated miles
    • VIN Number
    • Plate Number (If Applicable)  
• Dealer name and license number included in terms and a copy of the Dealers License has been sent to K-BID (In states where dealers license is required to sell titled/registered assets).  
• Vehicle Fees have been assigned to each lot. (If transferring title/registration)    

If Titled/Registered Assets Included (K-BID is acting as DOR):

•  Required information included in descriptions for titled/registered items.  (More Examples)

  • Indicated miles
  • VIN Number
  • Plate Number (If Applicable)   

• K-BID Title Dept. has received all the necessary paperwork and has cleared the auction to post. 
• Vehicle Fees have been assigned to each lot by K-BID Title Dept.
