We are extremely excited to introduce the K-LOT web and mobile cataloging application!
Update 1/1/2025: Active item editing is now available.
New lots on an active auction must still be created in K-BID, but you can now edit photos and descriptions for active auctions directly in K-LOT.
K-LOT is a cataloging tool that works exclusively with K-BID, this is not taking the place of any of the old auction creation tools, rather is a new option for affiliates
For support, feedback, and questions, please contact: Support@K-BID.com
How to Log in?
You can log in to K-LOT using your affiliate ID and password. Sub users created under your affiliate account will have the same permissions as the admin and will also have access to K-LOT. Sharing the same account is not recommended and could result in errors.
Where to find it?
The web version can be viewed here: Lot.K-BID.com
The mobile app can also be downloaded in the App Store and Google Play Store.
Important things to know.
We have many features planned for K-LOT, but the launch version includes a few limitations that you should be aware of before cataloging your next auction.
1. Choose one photo workflow per auction
You can either use K-LOT for photos or use the legacy uploader on K-BID.com. You cannot mix the two systems within the same auction. Choose one method and stick with it for the full cataloging process.
2. You can edit active lots up until impending close, however new lots still need to be created in K-BID once the auction is active.
You can create and edit lots in Pending status through K-LOT. Once a lot becomes Active, you can still edit it in K-LOT, however you need to add new lots on K-BID.com.
Descriptions can still be edited directly within K-BID.
Photos and descriptions can be edited on active lots in K-LOT
New lots can not be created in K-LOT on an active auction, but you can add them in K-BID and then add photos and descriptions in K-LOT.
3. Internet connection required
K-LOT does not have an offline mode. An active internet connection is required for photos, lot creation, and updates.
4. Consignors must still be set in K-BID
You cannot assign consignors within K-LOT. All consignor assignments must be done directly on K-BID.com.
Real-Time Changes and Workflow Efficiency
One of the best parts of K-LOT is that all changes update in real time. You can seamlessly use K-BID.com and Lot.K-BID.com together to gain significant efficiency in your workflow.
Some example use cases:
1. Create in K-LOT, bulk update in K-BID.com
Build your lots in K-LOT and then use K-BID.com to bulk set consignors, categories, or starting prices.
2. Spreadsheet creation plus mobile photos
Create all lots via spreadsheet upload on K-BID.com, then take and upload all your photos through K-LOT.
3. Quick changes between platforms
Use K-LOT to create lots on-site, then make fast edits or adjustments from K-BID.com as needed.
Using K-LOT to Catalog an Auction
Not every one of your auctions will show up automatically in the K-LOT mobile cataloging app. You must manually select the auctions you intend to use with K-LOT.
If you use K-LOT for the photography, you are unable to use the legacy photo uploader. This means you cannot upload renamed photos or barcode-labeled photos for any auction that is using the mobile cataloging app.
You are still able to edit every part of a lot except photos once the lot becomes active.
To enable K-LOT for an auction:
1: Edit the auction you wish to use K-LOT with at K-BID.com
2: Update the Base URL field to be "klot"
3: Save your auction
4: Start cataloging in K-LOT!
